Is The 2022 Nissan Pathfinder Better Than the Kia Telluride Post

As you know, Nissan is always going above and beyond with every new car, truck, or SUV model to design the best vehicle possible and find innovative ways to excel where their competitors don't. And the 2022 Nissan Pathfinder is no different. So, thanks to our friends at Raiti's Rides, we're bringing you a comparison of all comparisons.

If you've driven around the New Port Richey area roads at all, you've no doubt seen the Kia Telluride passing you by. They're popular cars for drivers who want sports performance under the hood of a luxury SUV. And when you look at them, they feel like a poor man's Range Rover, don't they?

Your friends at Maus Nissan of New Port Richey, along with Raiti's Rides, wanted to answer once and for all that the 2022 Nissan Pathfinder is better than the Kia Telluride. So, let's take a look.

Did you know that the Pathfinder first appeared in 1985? Of course, we did, and that's why we love that Nissan is revamping this vehicle line for the first time since 2012. As far as three-row mid-sized SUVs go, this one holds its own against the most popular one on the road in the Telluride.

The Telluride

The ride quality is comfortable and agile for a large SUV, with an advanced adaptive cruise control system that makes long drives easy to manage. In addition, the Telluride handles minor off-roading thanks to its 8-inch ground clearance as well as optional AWD. But are you going to take a luxury mid-sized SUV off-roading?

With the spacious interior of this car, even full-size adults can enjoy spreading out. The captain's chairs layout provides easy access to every seat, and the seats are stacked so that everyone can see the road no matter where they sit. The Telluride also has technology features like Quiet Mode, which turns off the rear speakers when your young ones are sleeping.

The Telluride offers a level of safety that was leading the industry—until the all-new Pathfinder came along. Driver safety features such as forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control help you get where you're going safely.

The Pathfinder

For the 2021 model year, Nissan rebranded their 3-row SUV as a more rugged off-roader. But for 2022, they've given it a makeover and returned to its roots with the Pathfinder nameplate. This new model year offers family-friendly space inside while retaining more durable tackle-any-terrain qualities. With AWD, no matter the road conditions outside your doorstep, the Pathfinder surely won't disappoint those wanting to conquer new terrain.

The Pathfinder can be configured with either a second-row bench seat or captain's chairs, reducing seating capacity to seven and easing access to its third row. And when you fold the seats flat, the Pathfinder provides an incredible 79.8 cubic feet of space.

With the 3.5-liter V6 providing ample power, you'll be able to cruise around New Port Richey in style. Nissan also replaced the previous model's continuously variable transmission with a 9-speed automatic. Putting more power and handling in your hands. Equipped with an excellent tow package, the Pathfinder can haul an impressive 6,000 pounds, which bests many of its competitors, including the Telluride.

Every trim level comes with Nissan's Safety Shield 360 driver assistance suite, featuring rear and front automatic emergency braking, blind-spot warning, lane-departure warning, and rear cross-traffic alert. If you spring for the higher-level trims, you'll get the ProPilot Assist semi-autonomous driving system along with a 10.8-inch display and semi-aniline leather seats.

So, who wins?

While the Telluride offers plenty of room, some bold styling options, and solid fuel economy at an affordable price, it doesn't hold up to the performance of the Pathfinder.

The 2022 Nissan Pathfinder shows off some fun, fresh styling, and durable V6 power. With improved drivability thanks to the all-new 9-speed automatic engine instead of a CVT, Nissan put the feel of the road in your hands.
