The base model of the 2022 Nissan Leaf S comes equipped with a 40-kWh battery with a range of 149 miles, while the Nissan Leaf SV Plus has a 60-kWh battery with a range of 226 miles.
The Hyundai Kona comes standard with a 63-kWh battery with a max range of 258 miles.

Further, to improve rear visibility in any conditions by keeping the rear window clear, the Leaf comes with a rear fixed intermittent wiper with a full-on position. The rear wiper on the Kona EV only offers an intermittent setting, so there is less visibility when driving in the rain.
Safety Features
For enhanced safety, the Nissan Leaf offers multiple safety features including:
● Front and rear shoulder belts with pretensioners to tighten the seatbelts and eliminate slack in case of an accident. The Hyundai Kona does not offer pretensioners for the rear seat belts.
